    What shampoo should I use?

    Use a shampoo for colour treated hair. These shampoos have lower levels of surfactants, which reduces fading.

    Is colouring my hair time consuming?

    No. Since all of our products are permanent, you only have to use it when the grey grows back. The process itself is quick and only takes a few minutes.

    How do I pick the right shade?

    If you have a little bit of grey, you should use a lighter shade. If you have a lot of grey you should use the shade that is closest to your hair colour. If you can’t decide between two shades, try the lighter one first.

    How often should I colour my hair?

    Use it when you notice that the grey is growing back. A good rule of thumb is to use it after a haircut every 4 weeks.

    How is Just for Men® Moustache & Beard different from Just for Men® Original Formula or Ultra?

    Just For Men® Mustache & Beard is formulated specifically for colouring facial hair — which is coarser than the hair on your head and requires a thicker, more penetrating formula. It comes with a brush to make application fast and simple. Each package is good for multiple colourings. Just For Men® Mustache & Beard comes in the same shades as other Just For Men® products.

    How is Just For Men® Ultra different from Just For Men® Original Formula?

    You do not need to mix any components. Everything you need comes in one tube. AutoStop™ comes with an applicator comb. Ultra stops at the target colour after 10 minutes for perfect results every time.

    I have been using Just for Men® Original Formula and want to try Just for Men® Ultra. Which shade should I use?

    Just For Men® Ultra comes in 8 shades that have been designed to match the corresponding Just For Men® shades. If you are currently using one of the other Just For Men® shades, Ultra could come out a little lighter or darker than what you are used to with regular Just For Men®. Start with the Ultra shade that is lighter than your current Just For Men® shade (i.e., Medium Brown if you are using Medium-Dark Brown).

    How is Just for Men® Ultra different from women’s hair-colouring products?

    Women’s products change the colour of every hair on your head — whether it is grey or not — providing a less natural look. They also come in a variety of fashion colours, which are not appropriate for men who don’t want obvious colour changes. Further, Just For Men® Ultra only takes 10 minutes to apply versus 30 to 45 minutes. And finally, it’s safer and non-damaging since it’s 100% peroxide and ammonia-free, unlike most women’s colour brands. Bottom line: Just For Men® Ultra was developed by men for men to match men’s specific needs

    How does Ultra stop at the target colour?

    After ten minutes, all colour molecules have reacted with the oxygen in the air and the colour will not change anymore if you leave it on longer. Other Haircolour products keep changing colour after the recommended time.

    What if I want to cover even more grey after I have used Touch of Grey®? How long do I have to wait before I re-apply?

    Simply repeat application after a few days. Each application should reduce roughly 25% of grey. Don’t forget to do the allergy patch test.

    Can I use my regular grooming products on my facial hair?

    You can use your usual conditioner, wax, oil, or whatever product you are used to in your facial hair.

    Does Just For Men Moustache and Beard® contain ammonia?

    No, it does not contain ammonia.

    What is the difference between Just For Men Moustache and Beard® and other regular hair colours?

    Yes, the Just For Men Moustache and Beard® formula reinforces the natural colour of your facial hair and makes it look balanced, more consistent, and fuller.

    Can I use Just For Men Moustache and Beard® on my head hair?

    Some men and women find this effective to touch up small areas like grey roots between full head applications of Just For Men grey care products. Just note that Just For Men Moustache and Beard® is formulated for coarser hair, so when you use it on finer head hair, the colour results will likely be different than on facial hair.

    Will Just For Men Moustache and Beard® dramatically change my natural facial hair colour?

    Just For Men Moustache and Beard® will not dramatically change your appearance as long as you choose a shade close to your natural hair colour. It will only blend away your grey.

    If I have very short facial hair, can I still use the product?

    Just For Men Moustache and Beard® comes with a brush to facilitate the application process. It should work well on very short or longer facial hair, allowing the product to be applied evenly throughout facial hair. If the applicator doesn’t seem like a good fit for you, you can apply the product with your own smaller comb, or use your gloved fingers.

    Is there a shampoo or soap recommended for use with Just For Men Moustache and Beard®?

    You can use any mild shampoo or soap you like. A shampoo made especially for colour-treated or tinted facial hair is the best choice. All facial hair colouring may be affected by frequent use of harsh shampoos or soaps, which can strip out colour and cause fading.

    How many applications are in one box of Just For Men Moustache and Beard®?

    One box will allow you multiple applications depending on how much facial hair you have. Always mix equal parts of the tubes for each application. Re-cap the tubes for future applications. Once the ingredients are mixed, it becomes ineffective after 20 minutes.

    Can I use my regular grooming products on my facial hair?

    You can use your usual conditioner, wax, oil, or whatever product you are used to in your facial hair.

    When should I begin timing?

    Begin the 5 minute timing after you have applied Just For Men Moustache and Beard® to your facial hair.

    I have been using Just for Men Original Formula® or Ultra and I want to try Touch of Grey®. Which shade should I use?

    If you are currently using one of the other Just For Men products, it’s easy to switch to Touch Of Grey®. Start with the Touch Of Grey® that best matches your shade. For instance, if you use AutoStop™ Dark Brown choose Touch Of Grey® Dark Brown, if you use Just For Men Original Formula® Real Black, choose Touch Of Grey® Black. Because Touch Of Grey® is a partial coverage product it offers a smaller variety of shades which makes the shade selection a very simple and easy process. If you are in doubt, we recommend that you start with the lighter shade, and you can always go darker next time.

    Does Touch Of Grey contain damaging peroxide and ammonia?

    No, unlike most hair colour, it’s free of damaging ammonia and peroxide.

    What’s the difference between Just for Men Original Formula® and Ultra vs Touch Of Grey®?

    If you want to keep some grey hair, Touch Of Grey® is right for you. Plus, it can be used gradually so you can get the look you want. If you want to get rid of all of your grey hair, use Ultra.

    Why should I use Touch of Grey® instead of a women’s hair colouring product?

    Touch Of Grey® is designed to cover some, not all, of your grey every time you apply. It’s a partial coverage product. Women’s products change the colour of every hair on your head — whether it is grey or not — which results in a less natural look.     I have very short hair and the applicator does not work well for me. How do I apply the product?

    If the tines of the applicator comb are too long for your hair, you can apply the product with your own smaller comb. Just squeeze the product from the tube on your comb and then comb it in. Or use your gloved fingers to apply the product. You’ll find gloves inside the Touch Of Grey® box.

    What if I want to cover even more grey after I have used Touch of Grey®? How long do I have to wait before I re-apply?

    When is it time to reapply to maintain my new look?

    It depends how quickly your hair grows. We suggest that you use Touch Of Grey® about once a month, maybe right after you get your hair cut. You just need to use one application to maintain your look, even if you used more than one application to get to the amount of grey you like.

    Can I use Touch of Grey® on facial hair?

    If you want the same partial coverage on your facial hair, we recommend using Touch Of Grey Mustache & Beard®, a formula specifically designed for resistant, coarse facial hair. Its gel consistency and application brush make application much neater and easier.

    Will Touch of Grey® dramatically change my natural hair colour?

    As long as you use a shade that is close to your natural hair colour, Touch Of Grey® will not dramatically change your natural hair colour, it will subtly blend away some of your grey. Touch Of Grey® is a partial coverage product which makes results really subtle.

    Why doesn’t Touch of Grey® come with a separate conditioner? Do I have to use a conditioner after usage?

    Touch Of Grey® delivers lasting results without harsh ammonia and peroxide. It’s less damaging to your hair so you will not need a special conditioner. If you normally use a conditioner, just continue as usual.

    Is there a shampoo recommended for use with Touch of Grey®?

Whenever possible, it is advisable to wear a swim cap, and shampoo your hair as soon as you can after your swim. If you swim frequently, you may also need to reapply Touch Of Grey® more often. It is also a good idea to wear a hat or a cap when in the sun. You may also want to use a shampoo or conditioner containing a sunscreen (UV protectant).

    How does Just for Men® Ultra stop at the target colour?

    The formula is activated by oxygen. After ten minutes, all colour molecules have reacted with the oxygen in the air and the colour will not change anymore. Other haircolour products keep changing colour after the recommended time.

    Will Just for Men® Ultra get darker if I leave it on longer than 10 minutes?

    No, it is calibrated so that it cannot go past the target colour. If you leave it on for 10 minutes or 20 minutes you will get the same results.

    Does Just for Men® Ultra contain damaging ammonia and peroxide?

    No unlike most hair colour it’s free of damaging ammonia and peroxide.

    Is there a shampoo recommended for Ultra?

    Will swimming or sun affect Just for Men® Ultra?

    Swimming in chlorinated water and exposure to sunlight for long periods of time will affect all hair colour.
